Every month I host a linky called Days Out with a Toddler. A linky is hosted by a blogger for other bloggers to link up their posts around a theme. My theme is days out with a toddler! Since I started this linky I had in mind that I wanted to make a map. I began doing so with my Pinterest board, faithfully pinning all the posts joined up with the linky. And then Pinterest declared they were no longer supporting Foursquare, and the map function would be no more. So I kind of lost my love for Pinning the posts for a while. Only a while. I still pinned, just not with quite so much joy. And the reason was that I wanted the linky to be useful for everyone. I had a dream…
But now I have discovered this ace way of making the days out with a toddler linky helpful for everyone! If you are looking for a day out with a toddler, and need some inspiration, you could check out the map below. These are all places visited by the bloggers when they linked up in February. 14 posts were linked up during the time when the days out with a toddler linky was open, and I’ve listed on the map below all those that had a location (so just 11 this month).
Thank you to everyone who joined in! Hope to see you again next month. I plan to make this a regular feature after each linky has ended.
And now a quick guide to the map below.
Days out with a toddler in the UK and MA!
A quick overview of the guide:
This was a collaboration of 11 bloggers who have visited these places on a day out with a toddler and can vouch for their brilliance! If you want to read more about the location, written by the blogger recommending it, simply click the link in the description.
If you want to see the website of the place, click “more details” in the description on the map.
The map can be filtered to show indoor or outdoor places. At the very top, above the map, you will see the words “Filter by”, and underneath that it will automatically show “All”. Click the down arrow to display places by type.
You can get directions to each place, simply by clicking “Directions”, which you’ll find under the text of each place in the guide of days out with a toddler. On a phone this will open your Maps app and autocomplete directions from where you are now. On desktop it will open an information box on the map – click directions again to open the menu to choose how you’d like to get there, and where from.
